"The fans are desperate to win the Champions League"

Xabi Alonso signed autographs for Real Madrid fans inside the Adidas shop at the Santiago Bernabéu, where he admitted that the message the supporters kept stressing was that "we have to win our tenth European Cup title".
"Everybody associated with the club is eager to reach the final, but there are a number of steps to take before getting there and Wednesday's game against Galatasaray is the first, playing at home. We want a good result and I'm sure we're going to see a good game with a great atmosphere", he told the club's official media.
Alonso admitted that Real Madrid isn't having a great league campaign: "Our situation in the league isn't ideal, but we have to continue as we are, playing well and trying to win every game".
