Argentine trained normally at Allianz Arena
Set to face a top-class opponent at an imposing venue, in the middle
of one its most jittery periods of the season, Barça's heavyweight bout
with Bayern Munich marks the first time in several years that the
Catalans are not favourites going into a match. However, this underdog act becomes hard to keep up with Leo Messi on the pitch. The Argentine turns everyone at Barça into a believer, confident that with him in tow, they can not only defeat the Bavarians, but make it all the way to Wembley.
The Argentine, whose fitness has dominated the pre-match build-up, has yet to receive the medical all-clear, but came through his team's last official training session at the Allianz Arena ahead of the match without any hiccups.
Smiling throughout and seemingly not bothered by the hamstring injury he has been carrying since 2nd April, Messi was active and even shot at goal on occasion, albeit without ever taking the shackles off.
Messi's every move was watched over by Tito Vilanova's coaching team out on the turf and by club president Sandro Rosell and director of football Andoni Zubizarreta, who followed the action from the dugout, just metres away.
