Speaking to the official UEFA website about the upcoming Champions
League quarter-final second leg, Xavi Hernández admitted that Barça is
"optimistic, because we're playing at home and we know we're the
favourites, but PSG has a great team. It is no minnow, but rather a big
club".
"We're upbeat about the first leg, because we drew 2-2 away from home. But looking back at the game, we're left with a sour taste in our mouth, because we went 2-1 up in virtually the 90th minute and then they equalised with the last attack of the game. It was unfortunate, but it wasn't a bad result – it was a good one", the midfielder continued.
"We're struggling with a lot of injuries at the back. Puyol has had surgery, Abidal is coming back from an extremely long and serious illness, Adriano's injured, and now Mascherano is too... But we have enough quality in the squad to replace them", he added.
