Zidane previously worked under Ancelotti as a player, when the Italian managed the Frenchman at Juventus. Now, over a decade later, the manager himself confirmed the Madrid legend's new position.
"Zidane was a fantastic player. Everybody knows him. Now he has decided to become a coach. He will be an excellent assistant, apart from the one I have, Paul Clement. He'll be on the bench. The only problem is that he can't play. That's the problem," he joked.
Clement will also form part of Ancelotti's coaching staff, after first starting to work with him at Chelsea. He did not hesitate to take him with him to PSG when he moved to France to manage the Paris outfit.
