Guardiola and Vilanova meet

By on 17:27

Tito Vilanova and Pep Guardiola finally had the chat that they had been needing for months, with it eventually taking place this Monday in Barcelona, according to 'El Mundo Deportivo'.
The meeting took place at Pep Guardiola's home. Vilanova stopped over in the afternoon to visit Guardiola, who had arrived in Barcelona from Munich at midday.
The Bayern coach flew from Germany in a private plane that landed at the El Prat airport. After resolving a personal affair, Guardiola arrived at his home at three in the afternoon. Vilanova came over in his personal car, a Porsche Cayenne, that he parked by the gateway to the villa. They both expressed their points of view on the controversial times that saw them fall out publicly.
Vilanova eventually left Pep's place at 6.30 p.m.
After Guardiola's departure from Barça in 2012, Tito Vilanova took on the challenge of replacing him. Shortly after doing so relations between the two cooled, so much so that when Vilanova was re-diagnosed with cancer and returned to New York, the two managers didn't even see each other whilst he was being treated over there.
Beforehand, they had previously met, during Vilanova's first trip to the Big Apple. Last summer Pep Guardiola said publicly that it wasn't his fault if he hadn't seen Tito during his second trip, but days later Tito then replied saying that when he needed his friend Pep beside him he was nowhere to be found.
