Barcelona's masterclass against Valencia has brought back memories of some of the other mesmerising performances delivered by 'Los Azulgranas' over the last ten years, and has also got us asking whether this display is deserving of a spot amongst Barcelona's top 10 performances during the past decade?
23rd February 2006: Chelsea 1-2 Barcelona
This was the standout performance from Rijkaard's Barcelona side in the 2005/06 Champions League campaign on their route to Wembley glory. Asier Del Horno received his marching orders in the first half to leave the Blues with 10 men, but it wasn't plain sailing for 'Los Blaugranas', who had to come back from a Thiago Motta own goal. They did just that.
2nd May 2009: Real Madrid 2-6 Barcelona
For many, this one goes down as the best result in the club's history. Guardiola's charges sealed what was the Catalan coach's first title with some quite simply outstanding football as Real Madrid looked on hopelessly.
8th April 2010: Barcelona 4-1 Arsenal
This 2010 Champions League quarter-final second-leg showdown will always be remembered for Lionel Messi's four-goal haul.
29th November 2010: Barcelona 5-0 Real Madrid
The football world came to a standstill on this particular Monday to watch Guardiola's Barcelona lock horns with Mourinho's Real Madrid. In the end, it really was boys vs. men stuff.
28th May 2011: Barcelona 3-1 Manchester United
"No one has given United a hiding like Barcelona did", were the words of Alex Ferguson at the final whistle as Barcelona lifted their fourth European Cup with consummate ease.
18th December 2011: Santos 0-4 Barcelona
Guardiola maintains that this was the best performance he saw from 'his' Barcelona side. The whole world watched in admiration as Barcelona handed out a thrashing with a performance that would take some beating as they came away with the second Club World Cup title in the club's history.
12th March 2013: Barcelona 4-0 Milan
This was THE best comeback produced by a Barcelona team during the last decade. With Jordi Roura standing in for the absent Tito Vilanova, 'Los Azulgranas' had it all to do to fight their way back from the 2-0 first-leg San Siro reverse. They managed it, and in real style too, winning 4-0 to progress to the 2013 Champions League quarter-finals.
21st November 2015: Real Madrid 0-4 Barcelona
This game marks perhaps the most outstanding display from Barcelona during Luis Enrique's reign. They hammered their arch-rivals at the Bernabéu without breaking into a sweat, and what makes it all the more impressive is that it was all done without Lionel Messi in the starting XI.
24th November 2015: Barcelona 6-1 Roma
Braces from Luis Suárez and Messi led the way in a victory in which Gerard Piqué and Adriano also got in on the act. Another excellent performance from 'Los Azulgranas', especially as it came just three days after the side's El Clásico exploits.
3rd February 2016: Barcelona 7-0 Valencia
Barça left Valencia wondering just what had hit them as Luis Enrique's side practically booked their place in the Copa del Rey final. Four goals from Suárez and a Messi treble saw Gary Neville's side, who were reduced to 10 right before the half-time whistle, put to the sword.
