Oubiña spoils Messi's party

It was a case of roles reversed in the second period, with the winger pulling back for the Argentine to notch up yet another goal.

Celta dug deep to salvage a last-gasp point at home to a Barcelona side that looked to have sealed all three points after bouncing back from Natxo Insa's opener. Abel Resino's men forged ahead thanks to Insa's prodded finish, but Tello, the game's star performer, levelled proceedings before the break from Messi's inch-perfect pass.
It was a case of roles reversed in the second period, with the winger pulling back for the Argentine to notch up yet another goal. 'La Pulga' has now scored in 19 straight league games and continues to break records that only he could fathom without so much as batting an eyelid.
A decent penalty shout notwithstanding – referee Mateu Lahoz adjudged that Demidov's challenge on Messi didn't warrant a spot-kick – Barça was somewhat ineffective in the first half and could count itself lucky to go into half-time on level terms.
After the interval the league leaders stepped it up a gear and moved in front thanks to some sizzling work down the flank from Tello, who ran rings around his marker, Jony, throughout. Roura's men were unable to wrap up the encounter, however, and paid the price accordingly. With Barça's players all but celebrating a 25th league win, Borja Oubiña capitalised on a defensive lapse to turn defeat into an invaluable point for Celta.
The Galicians remain locked in a relegation dogfight, while the Catalans continue to sit pretty at the top of the table. Minds will now turn to the impending Champions League clash with PSG.
