Diego López: "This team cannot give up, it never has done"

"We all play so that we can contribute to the team and perhaps I could have saved more shots. Now we have to clean our image and make the 90 minutes in Madrid seem as long as possible for them."

"This team cannot give up, it never has done. I still have faith and believe we can do it," said goalkeeper Diego López after Real Madrid suffered a disastrous 4-1 result at the hands of Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park, leaving their hopes of lifting 'La Décima' at Wembley in tatters.

The match:" It's a very negative result but now we have to think about Tuesday, where we have a historic opportunity, even though qualifying requires a miracle. The Bernabéu has to roar us on until the death because it has lived moments like this before. I have faith and I believe we can do it and we are obligated to fight until the end. We have to be more united than ever."
Second best in the second half: "We draw the first half 1-1 but then we conceded two goals very quickly and they were on top of us, they created chances and we felt overrun. We have to forget this quickly, play the best game possible in the return leg and create more chances than we did here."
Can Madrid turn it around? "We are playing a final and so we'll have to suffer and fight. This team cannot give up, we never has done, and least of all in our own stadium."
Decisive saves: "We all play so that we can contribute to the team and perhaps I could have saved more shots. Now we have to clean our image and make the 90 minutes inMadrid seem as long as possible for them."
Goals: "They all came from quick moves and they executed them very well."
