Xavi: "I'm sure we'll see the best of Messi"

Xavi Hernandez said that "having the best player in the world is fundamental", in reference to Leo Messi's presence on the pitch. He went on to say that the Argentinean "makes the difference in every game and is very keen to play. I'm sure we'll see the best of Messi against Bayern".
"We need the best from Leo and the best from Barça, but Barcelona relies on the whole team. If we're on form, we have a very good chance of making the final. Messi's presence is important for the opponent as well. It has a big effect," said Xavi.
Regarding the tie, the Spaniard remarked that "we're not going in as the underdog", before adding that "we respect everyone's opinions, but we don't share them. We've made six semi-finals in a row and we're right where we wanted to be at the beginning of the season".
"Bayern is a brilliant team - the league champion and cup finalist. But Barcelona is Barcelona. We're going to try and impose our style in the full knowledge that Bayern will try and impose its own game," remarked Xavi.
"The league is fundamental. It's the most important title for us, but the Champions League is a big deal for us as well," said the Barça midfielder.
Regarding the tactical approach, he said: "We have to impose our own style, go on the attack and score goals. That's absolutely essential if we're to make the final."
"I imagine, as a Barça man, Guardiola will want Barcelona to win. Either way, he'll enjoy it because it's a game to be enjoyed," he finished by saying.
