Real Madrid's Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 200th
goal for the club against Málaga in the Santiago Bernabéu. The landmark
was reached in the 25th minute as he converted an indirect free kick
from inside the area after missing a penalty minutes before. He now has
the impressive tally of 200 goals in 197 games.
Cristiano Ronaldo's 200th goal now sees him join other Real Madrid goalscoring legends such as Raúl (323), Di Stéfano (307), Santillana (289), Puskás (241) and Hugo Sánchez (207).
What's more, Ronaldo, along with Messi, is the only player to score more than 50 goals in three consecutive seasons: 53 in 2010-11, 60 in 2011-12, and 54 in the current campaign.
