Barça wants Neymar protection

The complaints about the refereeing performances during Barça games continue to flood in, as the Catalan club wants more protection for its star signing. In the match against Osasuna, three free-kicks were awarded in favour of Neymar, but the Brazilian, his teammates and manager would have liked a few more.
Neymar has clearly been a target for opposing defenders at the beginning of the current La Liga campaign and the permissiveness of referees like that of Pérez Montero in Pamplona or Teixeira Vitienes, before the international break, have also played a part.
The Brazilian's teammate, Pedro, gave his view on the matter after the encounter: "It seems referees don't want to award Neymar free-kicks. He's clearly been fouled several times, but it seems the referee doesn't want to see them. It's out of our hands".
The Canary-Island born player, like the rest of the team, believes that Neymar may be seen in a different light. In Pamplona, three of the thirteen fouls awarded against Osasuna were on the Brazilian, but the match official did not give four more free-kicks for other infringements.
Gerardo 'Tata' Martino said that: "I think there were several incidents when Neymar was kicked. I told the linesman, because he is always kicked after releasing the ball and those who have to tell the ref, who follow the ball, are caught up in the move".
