Ronaldo to learn from Messi

By on 15:24

Real Madrid does not want its Ronaldo affair to turn into its own Messi affair in which the Portuguese player might suffer a more serious injury by precipitating his comeback. Ancelotti has one advantage: the Portuguese cannot play in next weekend’s Spanish Cup tie against Xátiva.
As things stand, Cristiano Ronaldo will be able to rest at least until Real’s Champions League game against FC Copenhagen in ten days' time.
The absence of Cristiano Ronaldo, who had been in outstanding goalscoring form with 14 goals in his last seven games, in no way diminishes Real Madrid’s effectiveness in front of goal. Especially if the Galatasaray game was anything to go by, in which 'Los Blancos' scored four goals from the only four shots they had on target against the Turkish side.
Once again, Di María will take Ronaldo’s place in Real’s starting XI. After a quiet start to the game, the Argentine put in a great performance, especially during the second half against Galatasaray, scoring a goal and getting an assist.
Benzema will also return up front after he was rested for the Champions League game. The Frenchman is also in great goalscoring form and will want to show that, in Ronaldo’s absence, he is ready to take on Real Madrid’s goalscoring responsibilities.
