Iker Casillas said: "It's a difficult draw.
Kicking things off against the World Cup runners-up who were superb in
the qualification stage... And then, up against Chile, who we have
always struggled to beat. We started out by losing to Switzerland in
South Africa though and then we beat Portugal, Germany, Holland. We have
to take it game by game".
The Real Madrid and 'La Roja' captain was irked by how the World Cup draw was carried out because of the coefficients issue and by the fact that Brazil, in group A and the first to start, will finish its group stage after Spain (group B).
"The draw is hard to get your head around sometimes. We don't make the decisions. I don't like the way the draw is done. Each group should finish the stage according to the starting order", Casillas complained.
Iker commented on the chances of winning two World Cups, saying "it's going to be very difficult. All the teams we're up against will give it 100% and will want to beat us. We promise, or those going out there will promise, to do all they can to take the national side as far as possible".
Talking about the fact that a number of his club teammates have tipped Spain for glory, Iker understands why they are seen "as the favourite or one of them. But the players in the team are aware that, through all the smiles and praise, they will want to give us a run for our money".
