Madrid are still to make the new project function as they had hoped. The club threw out the Ultras Sur, but struggled to fill the re-designated supporters stand. Subsequently, and under the pressure of protests from the radical group, some 200 Ultras Sur members were allowed back in, with strict security measures being put in place (including fingerprint checks to enter the stadium). This move however led directly to further problems, starting with the Cup match against Espanyol. The Ultras Sur members, along with some others present in the Bernabéu booed Carlos Clara, president of supporters group La Clásica, one of the groups charged with ramping up the atmosphere from the area. Every time Clara tried to start a chant or song he was whistled and booed. This happened again during the derby against Atlético the other night, with the problems being somewhat camouflaged by the thumping win for Real, but also because the Ultras Sur ended up taking over the microphone and the drum...
