Andrés Iniesta went over the current situation at Barcelona in an interview with the newspaper 'Olé'. Regarding Martino's future at Barcelona, he said: "For me, my current coach is the best, so I would be delighted for him to carry on and have the chance to contribute everything he has to offer. What's more, the first year is always difficult for everyone."
His view on Tata: "I've always found him to be motivated and determined in his belief in our potential. Things don't always work out the way you want, but you have to try. Being at Barça is always difficult - not just for him, but for us players as well. You are constantly demanded the maximum and you have to be prepared for that."
Barcelona have had ups and downs: "We failed as a group, as a team, at specific moments. Sometimes things don't go the way you want, not because you don't want them to, but because they don't work out, because it's not right, because of other circumstances; but that's the way it goes. Changes are always needed, regardless of whether you win titles or not."
He praised Simeone: "As for me, I have great admiration and respect for him. Congratulations to them. I don't know in what sense they are the people's team. What's true is that there is a bond between the coach, the players and the fans which is very important for achieving things or getting close to doing so."
