Gerardo Martino isn't concerned by events at Barcelona over the past week. The current Barça boss says he isn't annoyed by the club's sporting director, Zubizarreta's meeting with Luis Enrique. "The club has done nothing wrong. At least not in my eyes," he said.
Martino's future: "I won't necessarily be happy with my work even if we do win the league title."
"There's no result that will change my future."
"I'm very proud to coach Barcelona. It's a huge job."
After the meeting between Barça and Luis Enrique: "The club doesn't have to apologise to me."
When Barça thought the title race was lost...: "We're very self-critical and we have no problem admitting we were wrong. I wish everyone were as self-critical as we are."
"We're pleased to have been wrong. It sounds harsh to talk of being irresponsible. Any other team in our shoes after allowing a team to equalise in time added on..."
"It's in our hands to win the league"
"I'm not at all surprised by what is happening in the league. It happens everywhere in the world where football is concerned. My surprise has nothing to do with football."
Do you deserve to win the league? "If we win it, we aren't going to take to the streets and say that we don't deserve it. We'll celebrate our win. There might not be that much difference between the best team in Europe and one that had a disastrous season."
