CR7 asked if he is now happy at Real... and doesn't reply
Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo collected the 'Trofeo Di Stéfano' for La Liga's best player, and failed to respond to questions about his happiness at Real.
On Monday, Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo was presented with the 'Trofeo Di Stéfano'. Named after Madrid legend Alfredo Di Stéfano, the prize is awarded by Spanish sports newspaper 'Marca' for the best player in La Liga. The Portuguese international received the award as the league's top performer during season 2011-12.As he collected the award from Di Stéfano himself, the Portuguese international was asked if he is now happy at the Santiago Bernabéu - in September, he had told the press that he felt "sad" in the Spanish capital - and an awkward silence followed as Cristiano failed to offer a response to the question.
The uncomfortable situation was only alleviated when CR7 was asked about the team's prospects for the season. He replied: "There's still a long way to go, but we're in the final of the Copa del Rey and we have taken a big step forwards in the Champions League. It'll be difficult to win La Liga, but we have to fight until the very end."
He added: "I hope that we achieve our goal for the season, which is to win an important piece of silverware."
