The manager confirms on Radio MARCA who the 'keeper will be
Vicente del Bosque has cleared up any doubts regarding who will finally be representing Spain between the posts for the Finland game in El Molinón stadium this Friday. The squad manager confirmed when talking with Radio MARCA that "Victor Valdés will play".
Vicente Del Bosque celebrated the recovery of David Villa in the run-up to the match against Finland. "The change in Villa is the best thing; the optimism he's giving off at the moment. It's different from before. Fortunately he's recovered. We've recovered the best Spanish goalscorer," he said.
David Villa, meanwhile, said that he is satisfied with the way things have gone in recent games. "I've had a run of a few games in the starting eleven and the team has won, so I'm happy. I've been looking for that regularity with the team for some time. I'm looking to have a good end to the season, which has had plenty of ups and downs, both for me and my club," said the Spaniard during a press conference.
Juan Mata also talked to the press, saying that they need to focus on the first game against Finland, and not the one against France. "The most important game for us has to be tomorrow's, against Finland. Like Vicente said, it would be a mistake to think about Paris. We have to win tomorrow first," he said.
The Chelsea star did not want to get involved in the controversy between Mourinho and Del Bosque. "Everybody knows that Del Bosque is a great coach: he's won a European Championship and a World Cup. Mourinho is great as well, but we're not thinking about that," he said.
