Rumours of Ronaldo return to United

By on 16:12

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo would consider an offer to return to Manchester United, the Premier League club he left in 2009, according to 'The Daily Star Sunday'.
The British newspaper claims that Ronaldo told one of the United players he would "seriously" consider an approach.
The paper also stated that United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson, has the backing of the club's owners, the Glazier family, to make "big-money signings" in the summer.
The 28-year-old Portuguese was sold to 'Los Blancos' four years ago for a record fee of £80 million (€94 million).
Ronaldo still has two years left on his contract at the La Liga club. However, rumours of an approach from United to re-sign the player – for around £65 million (€77 million), his wages to be covered by club sponsors - are rife.
Meanwhile, another player on the Premier League champions' radar, according to 'The Daily Star Sunday', is Argentine Ángel di María – Ronaldo's teammate at Madrid.
