Real Madrid has already begun to line up summer signings and has
several names on its short-list. MARCA.com gave the club's supporters
the chance to vote for their transfer preferences.
The results revealed Welshman Gareth Bale as the clear favourite to bolster the squad and that Carlo Ancelotti would not be the desired replacement for José Mourinho.
The names in contention in the Marca survey to join Real in the summer were: Carvajal, Kondogbia, Gündogan, Verratti, Bale, Agüero and Ancelotti (as manager).
It seems the club's fans are in favour of signing any of the above mentioned players, with the exception of Kondogbia.
The Frenchman, who plays for Sevilla, does not seem to interest the supporters (63.9%). Bale topped the wish-list (89.1%), followed by Carvajal (72.4%), Gündogan (64.8%), Agüero (59.8%) and Verratti (52.2%).
In relation to Mourinho's successor, it seems a move for Italian Ancelotti would not go down well. 62% of the voters do not believe he is the ideal candidate to replace the Portuguese.
