won the 2013 Ballon D'Or award on Monday. The 28-year-old Portuguese
was selected ahead of Argentine Lionel Messi and French Franck Ribéry.
His award comes on the back of exceptional performances for his club
side last season. He scored a remarkable 69 times in 59 matches.
