Khedira yesterday gave an interview to Sportstudio and spoke about
his recovery process: "It's possible that in two to three weeks I'll be
able to train with the side again. I'm a deeply optimistic person, but
I'm not going to put any pressure on myself". Even though he wouldn't
put a date on it, he showed his optimism: "If I don't make it to the
World Cup I'll be sad. I'm still fighting and everything is in my
favour". The report showed how the Real Madrid player works from nine in
the morning until six in the evening in order to recover from the knee
injury he suffered against Italy: "I do all that the coaches and
physiotherapists tell me. I am not worried about what will happen in two
months time".
Khedira doesn't only look after his body. He also looks after his mind with a psychologist. "Success is in the mind. Coming to Madrid made me more independent and mature".
