The manager says that Galatasaray will be a "tough" opponent
"I've been playing in the quarter finals of the Champions League for so many years that I know there's one thing that never changes, which is that the teams that have made it this far are here for a reason. Galatasaray isn't here just because it made it through the group stage, but also because it's won a knockout round", he added.
He went on to say, "A lot of teams start out in this competition and now there are only eight left, and the ones that are still in it are in it for a reason. There was no point in being nervous during the draw, because there wasn't much to choose from. Whoever you drew – although some of them obviously have a different status – you knew you weren't going to have an easy job on your hands".
He also had a message for those people who expected him to be out of options by now: "It was a tough week, and if things went well we had the possibility to keep moving forward, and if they went badly there was the possibility of us bidding farewell to our Champions League and Copa del Rey campaigns. A lot of people didn't expect it and ended up frustrated, but we did well. It was tough in Manchester and as is always the way, or almost always, there are people who think they know more about my job than me", he said.
